Exciting mentoring and work experience opportunities on our short film!

Director mentee

Director, Isabella Wing-Davey is looking to mentor an up and coming film director on Island Pictures’ short film, One in Five, shooting 16th to 19th May in London.   Mentoring will take place between now and July 2019 and will enable the mentee to shadow Isabella through all aspects of pre-production, shoot and post production.  This is an unpaid mentorship, and will suit somebody who wants to direct drama and has some experience already, having either completed a film training course or directed theatre or video.   We would welcome applications in particular from female filmmakers as we are committed to improving opportunties for women directors.   If you are interested in applying, please send your CV to applications@island-pictures.co.uk.   You must be over 18 to apply.  Interviews will take place on Thursday 28th and Friday 29th March.

Trainees

We have roles for trainees to work with camera team, art department, costume department and production (runner).  Trainees must be available 15th to 19th May.   You will be paid £10 per day travel expenses.  You must be over 18 to apply.  This will suit people who have some experience working on a film set or student films.  Please send CVs to applications@island-pictures.co.uk stating which department you would like to work with.   Interviews will take place in April.
