SARAH BEARDSALL
Producer
Sarah was a casting director for many years before co-founding Island Pictures and embarking on a producing career. Sarah’s credits over two decades in the business include Four Weddings And A Funeral, Inspector Morse, The Talented Mr Ripley, Liverpool One, Servants, Life Begins and Hustle. Her first job, by no coincidence at all, was working with Dominic’s brother Anthony Minghella on the film Truly, Madly, Deeply.
Sarah produced Island Pictures’ sumptuous film adaptation of Daphne du Maurier’s The Scapegoat (starring Matthew Rhys, Eileen Atkins, Jodhi May, Sheridan Smith, Pip Torrens and Andrew Scott) and is working on a range of drama and comedy projects for film, short film, television and podcast, with some of the best creative talent in the UK.
Her short film Stand Still directed by Isabella Wing-Davey, was funded by BFI Network and premiered at the London Film Festival 2019. Other shorts include Sucka Punch, directed by Iggy Ldn, which was one of 20 films in The Uncertain Kingdom released in 2020, and Run (2020) directed by Emma Miranda Moore.
Sarah produced A Moral Man (2022) for Island Pictures. A Moral Man stars Toby Jones and Claudie Blakley, and is directed by Paul Wade & Simon Wade.
Sarah is also a freelance producer on the long-running Saturday night drama Casualty for the BBC.
